A Stitch Storyteller

I was recently described as a stitch storyteller and I can see that! I’ve always felt it important to have a connection with the animals, birds and journeys shown in my work, so what you see in stitch I will have seen outside my door and out walking. My own rural life seen in thread, fabric and a little mixed media.

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve had the pleasure of sharing my work and talking to a couple of lovely stitching groups. Thank you Leven’s Quilters and Sutton Coldfield Creative Stitchers for inviting me. My next talk is for Threads, Worcester in May. http://www.threadsworcester.org.uk

The Fox Took The Low Road. This is one of a series of pieces that will be in The Willow Gallery, Oswestry for Open Studios this June. Fabric collage, free machine and hand stitching with a little mixed media.

For more on open studios in and around Oswestry this June, go to http://www.borderlandvisualarts.com or @borderland_visual_arts on instagram.

Happy stitching and Happy Easter xx
